Michael Todd wrote, “Obscurity produces integrity.” In other words, don’t be too quick to go public until God has completed His work of you in private.
Just because you can’t see it, or that others can’t see it, doesn’t mean God isn’t working to complete it.
To arrive before He guides is foolishness. It’s settling for what’s best, as well as, assuming you know what’s best - and that is a dangerous place to be.
Life is a journey of which God is working for our best. Don’t be too quick to jump the gun.
Only God knows what He is doing and how He is building. Don’t let your impatience thwart that.
In a micro-waved world, it is easy to want an instant return. God’s developing strategy, however, is more like a crock-pot - taking it slow and allowing it to simmer.
So, don’t resist it or try to hurry it, but rather, embrace it. The key to one’s public success is God’s private work.
Consider King David, before He was king - he was a shepherd. In fact, the day he was anointed, he was in the field watching sheep. And even after he was anointed as king, he was dismissed to go back and continue to watch the sheep.
My friends, there is a process by which God works that cannot, and will not be hurried. So, relax, let Him have his way, and I guarantee, what He started He will bring to completion (Phil. 1:6) - so WAIT on it.
Obscurity produces integrity. Your approval is taking place in private.
