“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life” (John 3:16). This is the very heart of the Christmas story. Have you made room for such a love?
My friends, God came down to earth, became one of us. His life is our example by which to live, and that IN Him, we can show the world likewise – something our world so desperately needs.
But we first have to receive it.
You see, knowing you’re loved is what everyone deeply desires. “To be fully known and fully accepted” (Dr. Harold Mann). I realize that we may not always feel such a love around us, but because of Christmas – Jesus – we can experience such a love within us.
My friends, God’s love is unconditional. There is NOTHING that you can do, or have done, to altar, change, or taint His love. You can’t buy it or get rid of it – God loves you.
And once that truth becomes our reality, well, now we can show the world what “life” is all about – for His love will flow through us.
You see, His love, begins to soften our heart, change our perspectives, and, in turn, allows us to see others the way He sees us. And when we understand and receive this, we really do begin to live differently.
Have you received His love? Don’t wait another minute. Just simply say, right now, “Jesus, I surrender my life to You.”
Merry Christmas!
