I read this morning, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, the authorities, against the powers of the dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” (Ephesians 6:12). The devil wants to distract us with things in this world, but God is inviting us to rise up, to share in greater and higher things, but we must have faith, to believe, for this to happen – to be experienced.
In 2 Chronicles 20, we see King Jehoshaphat facing a major battle. As he sought the Lord, as to what they should do, the Lord said, “You will not have to fight this battle” (don’t miss that). King Jehoshaphat then urged his people, “Have faith in the Lord your God and you will be upheld.” Then, as the King and his people sang and praised, the Lord gave them victory.
Again, note what the king said, “Have faith.” The victory wasn’t in the song it was in their faith.
You see, in and of ourselves, victory is impossible. We cannot do what we deeply desire in our own strength, but by faith, a trust and confidence in Who Jesus is, victory is ours. My friends… it’s by FAITH.
In a human world, from a humanity perspective, approaching a vast army with a song and praise seems outrageous. Probably downright stupid, if we’re honest. However, their faith turned the impossible to their possible victory.
Faith, the game changer.
This is the Word of the Lord for us today. We don’t have to strive, wrestle, or battle alone.
Thus, in faith, it’s time to stand up, stand strong, stand firm, and see from a heavenly perspective. The victory is ours. The victory is sure. The victory will come… through FAITH.
