Celebrate On A Mission

Feed the Hungry

“I was hungry and you fed me.”  (Matthew 25:35)

Our vision is to help people MEET JESUS, and our mission is to BE JESUS. Jesus saw people, had compassion, and met their needs. Throughout the month of February, you have the opportunity to help people meet Jesus by being Jesus through Celebrate on a Mission: Feed the Hungry.

We are partnering with the Union Gospel Mission, The Banquet, and Feeding South Dakota. There are two ways you can be a part of pouring into our community: offer your time, or offer food (or donate money toward food).

OFFER YOUR TIME: You can serve at any of these organizations as an individual (there are age requirements), as a family, or as a LIFE group. Information about each organization and how you can serve is below.

OFFER FOOD/MONEY: If you want to donate food or money, CLICK HERE.

Imagine the difference we could make if we collected 5,000 pounds of food for Feeding South Dakota and if an army of Celebrators stepped forward to serve these amazing organizations!

Feeding South Dakota

Their mission is to end hunger in South Dakota, and their vision is a hunger-free South Dakota where everyone in need has access to nutritious food. Freedom from hunger and good nutrition are critical to the future economic, social, and emotional health of our communities.

Serving opportunities include packing sacks of food for hungry children in our community as well as packing food boxes for families. Volunteers will pack items in assembly-line fashion and are spaced/divided into smaller groups within the warehouse to ensure social distancing.

Another way to participate is by donating food. A box of cereal, a can of soup, a jar of peanut butter, one small donation can change someone’s life today. Donated food products have a direct impact on relieving hunger across the state and are distributed through their Mobile Food Pantry Program.
