One of the best things you can do, for such a time, is be faithful to church.
A study conducted by Barna Research this past spring showed that just over 1/3 of churchgoers were faithfully attending before the pandemic. Since…
- 14% switched churches;
- 32% stopped attending completely;
- 18% starting viewing services from multiple churches.
So, if your church is meeting in person, and you feel comfortable about attending, may I encourage you, be there. Your presence every Sunday speaks volumes.
However, if you’re still not comfortable going in person, you can attend faithfully online. So, whether your church is recording services or live-streaming, tune in.
But not only is showing up so meaningful, being faithful in your responsibilities is important as well – continue to give faithfully, to serve faithfully, and to encourage others to as well. But regardless, don’t let the enemy use this time to lull you into a spiritual apathy, or lead you to foster an attitude that says, “My presence and contribution really don’t matter.” You always matter.
